Think London Appoints Brandon Hill for North America Roadshows
28 Aug 2009
The aim is to raise the profile of Think London and encourage North American companies to establish a base in the capital in the run up to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Brandon Hill has created and developed the Route To 2012 brand identity, which is being used throughout the roadshow across several platforms including the Think London website, e-invitations, print and collateral such as pull-ups, badges, and USB cards.
The roadshow is taking place over three stages during 2009 - in June, September and November.
The first leg included four high-profile events over two weeks in four locations - Palo Alto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Austin.
The events were:
- A Digital Breakfast in Palo Alto, where senior representatives heard from LOCOG (the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games) on the digital aspects of the Games via live video link.
- A Clean Tech Panel in San Francisco where senior representatives discussed how London would deliver the first sustainable Games.
- A Garden Reception at the Consul-General’s Residence in Los Angeles.
- A Dinner in Austin with Sir Alan Collins KCVO CMG, British Consul-General, New York.
Brandon Hill managed the recruitment process of the American audiences, designed and issued e-invitations, established a toll-free US phone number that redirected to our UK office which was answered until midnight, five days a week. The agency also undertook a very successful lead generation campaign contacting 300 US companies, issued joining instructions to attendees and personally called every delegate prior to each event to confirm attendance and reduce the drop-out rate.
