Advanced Engineering Conference

Brandon Hill Communications was commissioned to organise, manage and deliver a prestigious conference for UK Trade & Investment to launch the new Advanced Engineering Sector, provide networking opportunities and offer a sounding board for future sector-based activities. The conference was structured around a substantial plenary session, followed by break out sessions and workshops. We were responsible for all administration, management and production.

Using a substantial guest list supplied by UKTI, we liaised with various groups from central and local government, industry, and numerous trade associations in order to generate the target number of attendees

We incorporated live video relay into the plenary session and pre-filmed the keynote address. With five breakout groups, four workshops, five keynote speakers and a panel debate, our planning, organisation and execution had to be meticulous.

The launch of the conference was a great success, achieving extremely positive feedback from delegates and creating an exciting platform for the Advanced Engineering Sector.


Advanced Engineering Industry Briefing Course

Tasked with the organisation, management and delivery of the Advanced Engineering Industry Briefing Course Brandon Hill Communications staged a week-long event for 22 delegates from Posts around the world.

Comprising of eight company visits, 14 additional company presentations, two networking receptions, two formal dinners, two informal networking dinners, two networking lunches, two 'meet the buyer' style one-to-one meeting series, and one workshop, the programme required meticulous organisation and seamless delivery. The one to one meeting series was an integral part of the programme, facilitating business opportunities for UK companies from within the sector. Designed to give each delegate suitable privacy in an open plan space, participants were issued with tailored schedules prior to the event, and on the day, with the Brandon Hill team onsite to ensure that the event flowed seamlessly.

In the post event feedback 100% of the delegates rated Brandon Hill Communications as 'excellent' for event management.


Advanced Engineering India Inward Mission

Brandon Hill Communications managed the week-long inward mission for 26 delegates from 21 Indian companies visiting London, Oxford, Nuneaton, Nantwich and Crewe. The programme included an academic conference for which we liaised with and recruited speakers as well as collating presentations and managing the programme on the day, alongside a busy one to one meeting session. Further one to one meeting sessions where arranged in two additional locations; the Midlands and North West. 91 UK companies registered to attend different elements of the inward mission with new business for UK companies estimated in excess of £6 million collectively. In addition, two high profile site visits took place during the week for which we were responsible for all organisation, management and delivery, liaising with each company to be visited, we were the point of contact for all communications including logistical details, scheduling and catering at each site.

Brandon Hill Communications provided all printed material for the mission including a Contacts Directory containing profiles and headshots of all delegates and UKTI staff, and a comprehensive UK company profiles document to assist the Indian delegation in preparing for meetings with UK companies.

100% of the Indian delegates rated Brandon Hill Communications as either very good or excellent.


Global Ports Seminar

Brandon Hill Communications was commissioned to organise, promote, manage and deliver a series of events in London and Liverpool spanning one week and including a number of VIP networking events and site visits. Nine international guest speakers participated throughout the week, representing individual port authorities and organisations from around the world. We recruited over 200 UK delegates from 143 UK-based companies and hosted a busy one to one meeting series at each event catering for both pre-booked and impromptu meetings.

We incorporated a visit from the Duke of York with one day's notice and received glowing event feedback from the Sector Team, international delegates, and from UK companies that attended the seminars.


Gulf Health & Leisure - Building Capacity

Brandon Hill Communications was tasked with the management and delivery of a one day conference focussing on healthcare, leisure and infrastructure opportunities in the Gulf, attracting a paying, high quality audience. The event featured an interactive panel discussion, case studies, round table discussion groups, and several networking opportunities.

Ontrac PR was responsible for all elements of the conference, including venue sourcing and liaison, catering management, sourcing and managing the AV contractors, liaising with Ambassadors regarding their involvement, management of all speaker logistics, audience recruitment including design of the e-flyer and an editable booking form, telephone recruitment, delegate liaison, delegate invoicing, printed collateral, and management of the event on the day.

Exceeding the target of 70 attendees, 86 delegates registered for, and paid to attend the event. Feedback from delegates highlighted the value of the event and praised both the pre and at event organisation.


Healthcare Computing Inward Mission

With only five weeks lead time Brandon Hill Communications was tasked with coordinating an event for 20 international delegates, representing 13 individual companies from seven different countries. We were responsible for all travel and accommodation for each participant, issuing detailed joining instructions in advance and comprehensive delegate packs upon arrival, and providing on-site management for the duration of the event.

Responsible for marketing the opportunity to meet mission members to UK companies within the Healthcare Computing industry, we liaised with key trade associations and regional agencies to widely promote the meet the buyer opportunity in advance.

UK companies that participated in the meet the buyer event completed feedback forms and unanimously deemed the event a positive use of their time. All were impressed by the communication they had received prior to the event and all asked to be contacted by UKTI with information concerning future, similar activities. Each international delegate that participated in the inward mission rated Brandon Hill Communications' performance as 'excellent'.


Maritime Industries Roadshow

Brandon Hill Communications was commissioned to manage and deliver the Maritime Industries Roadshow hosting 20 commercial officers from 20 different markets over one week. Activities included a VIP drinks reception attended by over 150 distinguished sector guests for which we were responsible for venue sourcing and management, audience recruitment via a personalised, embossed invitation, and full management on the day. An Industry Briefing Course for commercial officers was attended by 30 key figures from the maritime industry and three key locations were visited during the week; London, Birmingham and Newcastle-upon-Tyne. At each location UK companies were invited to attend a short presentation session followed by one to one meetings and networking. Due to popular demand an additional date was also added in London at the end of the roadshow.

Ontrac PR was responsible for the management of all participating commercial officers, creating promotional copy for the website and contacts directory, booking and liaising with each of the roadshow locations, including venue recces, catering, staging, AV and managing logistics for the programme as a whole. Our remit also included liaising with all partner organisations and regional contacts, managing all collateral and promotional activities as well as international and UK delegate management to include accommodation and internal transport.


Oil & Gas International Business Exchange

Brandon Hill Communications was commissioned to organise, manage and deliver three International Business Exchanges (IBE's) for the Oil & Gas sector team, focussing on Education & Training, Subsea Technologies and Pipeline Technologies. In total across the three-event IBE programme, 66 overseas international delegates participated, representing 45 different organisations from ten global markets. We managed all delegate logistics including accommodation, internal transfers, and detailed promotional information for the contacts directory and website.

12 site visits and five additional company presentations were conducted throughout the programme in addition to 12 networking receptions and nine formal dinners for which we managed the venues, catering, guest lists and seating plans. Nine one to one meeting sessions were held across the country for which Brandon Hill Communications recruited and managed all delegates. 238 UK companies participated in the IBE programme and new business orders were estimated at a staggering £17,302,500.


Route To 2012 North America Roadshow

Think London commissioned Brandon Hill Communications to manage the prestigious and complex North America Roadshow. The first roadshow included four high profile events in five locations over two weeks, including Palo Alto, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin and Dallas. The objective was to raise the profile of Think London and encourage North American companies to establish a business in London in the run up to the Olympics. Events held during leg one included a digital breakfast, a panel event, a garden reception and a dinner.

We created and developed the 'Route To 2012' brand to be used across several platforms including the website, e-invitations, all print and collateral. Brandon Hill Communications managed the recruitment process of the American audiences; we designed and issued e-invitations, established a toll-free US telephone number that redirected to our offices in the UK and was manned until midnight five days a week, and we undertook a very successful lead generation campaign contacting 300 US companies.

We facilitated onsite management of all events including registration, audio visual trouble shooting, set up and strike down of equipment and collateral, event filming and photography. We also sourced and managed all venues, accommodation and travel.


UK Life Science Marketing Strategy Stakeholders Conference

Brandon Hill Communications was commissioned to organise, manage and deliver a conference and VIP drinks reception designed to share the progress of the UK Life Science Marketing Strategy with invited stakeholders.

Held at The Royal College of Physicians, the conference comprised of a plenary session and panel discussion followed by networking opportunities and demonstrations of the online messaging toolkit, located at branded web terminals.

We were responsible for all elements of the conference including venue sourcing and liaison, catering management, management of the staging and AV contractor, speaker recruitment and logistics, audience recruitment by telephone and e-flyer, design and production of the presentations and all printed collateral, as well as complete onsite management and logistics. With a target of 50 delegates, 80 companies registered to attend, and 75 were present on the day.
